About Me
I’m Punky!
I’m an artist, introvert, wife, mom, sister, nerd, gamer, foodie, gentle parent, true crime junkie, and unapologetic reptile lover. Oh, and I dabble in photography too. Small talk? Not my thing. I’m more of an observer, the kind who thrives on deep conversations and prefers letting my art do the talking. Living in the West End, I stick out like a neon sign in a sea of beige, but I love the unique connections I’ve built in this little community.
I’m a proud mom to a ridiculously talented 13-year-old daughter who’s basically Jan of all trades. She’s also my go-to model—great subject, zero complaints (most of the time). My wife? A retired veteran and absolute firecracker who cruises around on her Harley like she owns the road. She hails from Miami, Florida, and brings that big-city flair to our little corner of the world. Then there’s the rest of the zoo: two dogs, a bearded dragon, and a cat who probably thinks she’s in charge.
My family is small but fierce: my wife, daughter, fur babies, and three siblings who mean the world to me. I lost my dad in March 2023—he was only 50, and the grief still cuts deep. As for my mother, let’s just say we keep our distance. My life has been a rollercoaster of fight-or-flight, but that chaos has fueled my art. I’m drawn to themes of self-image, identity, raw emotion, fear, serendipity, healing, and growth. Oh, and I’m proudly sober—this weird, twisted creativity of mine? 100% unfiltered me, no substances required.
Art has always been my compass, but I have worked hard to hone my craft professionally at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. My time there has pushed me to sharpen my skills, explore new mediums, and step boldly into the world of fine art. The training solidified my passion and gave me the tools to elevate my work to the next level.
I’m all about pushing myself further as an artist, with a particular obsession for fine art. Sure, I love the thrill of capturing people through photography—portraits, ads, you name it—but fine art is where my soul feels most at home. My ultimate goal? To make people stop, stare, and think:
“Wow, she’s weird…but I can’t look away.”
